Manager of Marketing & Energy Services
Mid-Ohio Energy is seeking a Manager of Marketing and Energy Services to work with cooperative members, key accounts, and other community organizations to carry out the strategic goals of the cooperative. These goals include strengthening member engagement, promoting energy education, and supporting beneficial community initiatives.
Primary responsibilities include coordination of marketing programs, events, and community relations. Additional duties include supporting development of advertising and communications materials and educating consumers and the public on energy matters—including emerging electric technologies and energy efficiency. The position will work with residential and commercial consumers to analyze electric use and identify beneficial energy solutions.
Key competencies include:
- Member Service: Works well with others and provides courteous, efficient service to members, employees, trustees, and the public.
- Communications: Proficient skills in photography, videography, and presentation creation. Competent using software programs (Microsoft office, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.) to produce materials for web/digital/print.
- Knowledge of energy concepts: Possess a basic understanding of residential and commercial building techniques, the ability to understand and explain energy concepts (power delivery, renewables, and electric vehicles, etc.).
- Teamwork: A positive attitude with a willingness to work with others as part of a small employee team. Able to effectively handle multiple projects and priorities, consistently meet project deadlines with accuracy and attention to detail.
Qualified candidates should possess a bachelor's degree (or equivalent working experience) and should have work experience in marketing, communications, public relations, energy management, business, or related fields.
Mid-Ohio Energy Cooperative is not-for-profit electric distribution utility headquartered in Kenton, Ohio. The cooperative serves 8,195 meters in portions of ten central-Ohio counties.
