Scholarships

High School Seniors... scholarships are available from Mid-Ohio Energy.

If your parent(s) live in Mid-Ohio Energy’s service territory and receive their electricity from the cooperative, you may apply for a Mid-Ohio Energy scholarship. Applicants who plan on continuing their education at a college, university or technical school are eligible for consideration.

The Children of Members Scholarship

In 2025, Mid-Ohio Energy will be awarding 7 Children of Members scholarships for a total of $10,000.00.

This scholarship has two phases, one local and one statewide. Mid-Ohio Energy will be awarding monies to the top local students based upon a competition with other applicants.

The overall local winner will move on to compete with other local cooperative scholarship winners in a statewide competition for additional monetary awards of up to $4,300!

Scholarship amounts available locally from Mid-Ohio Energy**:

1st PLACE	$ 2,000
2nd PLACE	$ 1,800
3rd PLACE	$ 1,600
4th PLACE	$1,400
5th PLACE	$1,200
HONORABLE MENTION (2)	$1,000

**Proof of college, proper vocational, or technical school enrollment required before scholarship will be paid. (A "proper vocational or technical school" is defined as a post-secondary institution where credits can be transferred to a state-accredited four-year college.)

THE DEADLINE TO APPLY FOR 2025 SCHOLARSHIPS IS FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 7, 2025.

Hold the date: For scholarship finalists will be notified by February 13. Scholarship judging day will be held at the co-op's offices in the morning of Saturday, February 22, 2025.

The Touchstone Energy^® Achievement Scholarship

This is a local $1,000 scholarship awarded to a graduating senior who has overcome extraordinary challenges and/or adversity in their life.
