We're always looking for new ways to help members engage with the cooperative. In response to a declining number of members attending the Annual Meeting of Members in-person, the board asked staff to prepare information on alternative formats for the annual meeting and member events.
The goal... to maximize member engagement!
The path... a new plan for member events in 2024!
Mid-Ohio Energy’s 2024 Annual Meeting of Members will be held on Tuesday, April 9, 2024.
The meeting will be held virtually with no in-person attendance. Each member who views the meeting online is eligible for a $20 energy credit! For those unable to view the meeting on April 9, the meeting will be posted online for future viewing throughout the month of April. Members who view the meeting later will still be eligible for the energy credit.
Why hold the annual meeting virtually? The short answer is to be able to offer more for our members. The number of members attending our in-person annual meetings has declined steadily in recent years. As a result, we've taken the budget and resources for our traditional annual meeting and formed a new plan for member events in 2024. The plan offers more flexibility, more fun, and more engagement opportunities.
In addition to the virtual annual meeting held in April, the co-op will offer in-person Family Fun Days in August. The Family Fun Days will be hosted at our Marion (August 1) and Kenton (August 8) offices and feature food trucks, inflatables, and fun for the whole family.
