If it weren't for our customers, we wouldn't be here," says Jessica Bridenstine, co-owner of J&J Feeds in Mt. Victory. "It doesn't matter how much they spend, we take each person's considerations to heart- like a family. We see them in the store and around in the community."
It's this genuine interest and care for customers that has helped J & J Feeds grow to offer a variety of goods and services. Offerings include animal feeds, lawn equipment and servicing (they sell Husqvarna and Bad Boy mowers), raised beef / pork products, and more!
"I've always had a passion for caring for animals, and the mowers are my husband Jake's specialty. We started in 2018 selling feed and added mowers in 2020. It truly is a joint effort," says Bridenstine.
"We've learned a lot each year from taking an interest in our customers. We ask 'Why?' and listen. There's a lot we learn from being curious and gathering feedback on what they like or unique challenges they face."
J&J Feeds provide welcoming accommodations to meet local needs. "Some people think we just serve the very near area, but we serve those from all surrounding communities. We have our set hours, but also offer appointments outside those hours if needed."
It's a level of service that can also be expected from their local electric co-op. "Whenever I have a question, we can call in and get a quick answer," says Bridenstine. "We've attended the co-op's member-family fund days, and appreciate that we can participate in events like the annual meeting to get an update."
